The OC Teen Center is owned and operated by Dr. Sayeh Beheshti. Dr. Beheshti has many years of experience specializing in treating a wide range of behavioral and developmental disorders commonly seen in teenagers.
At OC Teen Center, we focus on creating a safe, nurturing space to help adolescents and their families. Our center specializes in providing teens with a range of mental health services in a way that is minimally disruptive to their daily lives.
We are committed to empowering teens to live full, happy lives by treating all underlying mental health issues. We treat young adolescents between the ages of 12-19 struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem and body image disorders, and a range of other mental health and developmental disorders.
Our goal is to enhance the everyday lives of teens and their families through our quality clinical care and comprehensive range of services, all in a welcoming, family-like environment.
Doctor Beheshti is a medical doctor and psychiatrist with previous experience at the
UCI Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Center. Dr. Beheshti has a philosophy of treating each patient as an individual with unique needs and circumstances. She firmly believes the best way to formulate an ideal treatment modality for adolescents is through establishing a strong therapeutic relationship with them and their parents, and understanding their needs within the context of their biological, psychological, and spiritual makeup as well as the environmental and social context in which they live in. Dr. Beheshti is our full-time psychiatrist and is only available at OC Teen Center.
Dr. Lauren is a highly passionate licensed clinical psychologist with a PsyD from Pepperdine University, and has been working with children and adolescents for the past ten years. She is an expert in working with the most challenging psychological presentations such as trauma, self harm, mood dysregulation, aggression, and other unsafe or maladaptive coping mechanisms. Dr. Lauren always believes in her patients, even when everyone else has stopped believing in them. She never loses hope, and tirelessly works with patients and their families on improving their relationships, coping skills, and positive change.
David Munoz has a Bachelor’s degree in communications and thirteen years of experience working with teenagers and young adults with mental health issues. David is a dedicated father of four daughters, and has a philosophy of approaching children with an open heart, open mind, and patience.
In addition to working in the mental health field, David has experience in aerospace, played football for The University of Utah, and has worked as a personal trainer and coach.
Rosa is a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) with a Masters degree from Argosy University, and ten years of experience in providing therapy to children, adults, and families. In addition to her excellent therapeutic skills, she has years of experience teaching parenting skills and guiding families in mechanisms for getting along and improving family relationships. When it comes to working with families, Rosa’s experience is full of both variety and depth. She is passionate about improving family dynamics and is dedicated to teaching our parenting classes and running our parenting support groups.
Jonah has over ten years of nursing experience working with a host of patients with a variety of medical and psychiatric issues. Jonah brings a philosophy of patient-centered care, compassion, calm, and perseverance to her work. Jonah is a loving mother of three, and is a master of providing a safe environment for children in a situation where they might feel most vulnerable.
Meg is a brand new recipient of her Master’s Degree from Pepperdine University. In addition to working in the field of clinical psychology, she has a colorful background as a fashion magazine editor. Meg is extremely personable, creative, full of passion and energy, and is open minded and easy to connect with. She has a love for everything Disney, and can’t wait to share her passions with our teens and families. Her focused area of interest is helping those with eating disorders or substance abuse issues.
Winnie is very passionate with her job in the areas of Accounting and Human Resources. She values the importance of commitment and dedication and being part of the team specially in a well diversified environment.
On her personal side – she loves cooking and being in the outdoors with her family.
